I love no-carve pumpkins. They let my family be creative without much mess or frustration. For inspiration this year, I turned to FamilyFun magazine, where I was the executive editor for about 12 years, and found these adorable hedgehog pumpkins.
To make them, just insert toothpicks into an oblong-shaped pumpkin (trust me, it's easy). Start at the rear and work your way forward, making sure the toothpicks angle back, like spines (stick them straight up and your hedgehog will wind up looking more like a turkey). Paint on eyes or add black pushpins for eyes. We used glue dots to add a festive bow to one of ours.
