Have a Happy (and Healthier!) Halloween

Late bedtimes and candy overload can quickly turn this holiday ghoulish for many families. To help, I pulled together some of my favorite Halloween strategies for the latest issue of Prevention magazine, on newsstands now.

One of my favorite tips: "Buy" the bulk of your kids' candy in exchange for a fun family outing, such as hiking, bowling, or mini golf, then donate it to troops oversees at operationgratitude.com. You'll do a good deed, and you won't eat all that candy yourself!
